The real turning point came when a World Bank consultant introduced him to professional livestock networks. The book’s title comes from Gautam’s grandfather, who planted mango seeds every summer — not for himself, but for the generations that would come after him. Decades later, his family still eats fruit from those same trees, and Gautam sees the same idea at work in his own life: the values his grandfather planted in him are the ones he’s now passing on to his son, Evan, and hopes to pass on to anyone who picks up the book.
