Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], October 30: The Eat Right Summit – Jaipur 2026, held at Holiday Inn, City Centre, Jaipur, brought together distinguished dignitaries, healthcare professionals, nutrition experts, academicians and industry stakeholders to strengthen the conversation around food safety, balanced nutrition and preventive healthcare.
Aligned with the Eat Right India Movement of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, and organised in collaboration with Herbalife, the summit emphasised the importance of translating nutrition awareness into informed food choices and healthier everyday habits.
The inaugural session was graced by Dr. Achal Gulati, President and Vice-Chancellor, Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences and Technology (MGUMST), Jaipur, as the Chief Guest. The distinguished gathering included Dr. Vijay Prakash Sharma, Joint Commissioner, Food Safety and Drug Control, Rajasthan; Dr. Sunnil R. Singh; Dr. Sandeep Nijhawan, Senior Professor at MGUMST; and Prof. Vidya Jain, eminent Gandhian scholar and international peace researcher. The programme also featured the scheduled felicitation of Ms. Avani Lekhara, Paralympic gold medallist in shooting, in recognition of her outstanding sporting achievements.
The summit featured two key panel discussions: “Eat Right India: From Awareness to Action on Obesity Prevention” and “Eating Right for Progress: A Collaborative Path to Better Nutrition.” Both sessions brought expert perspectives to the forefront, reinforcing the importance of collaborative action on nutrition and public health.

A special highlight was the live culinary demonstration by Executive Chef Ramesh Kukreti, showcasing protein-rich recipes and millet-based preparations to demonstrate how healthier food choices can be practical, nutritious and accessible.
Dr. Achal Kulati emphasised the importance of discipline and mindfulness in eating, drawing inspiration from the film Mohabbatein to highlight “anushasan” in our food habits. He encouraged people to treat food with respect and gratitude, rediscover the balanced dietary practices of previous generations, and enjoy their meals mindfully. He concluded with a simple yet powerful message: “Aaj se thoda kam”—encouraging moderation and more conscious food choices.
Mr. Ajay Khanna, Managing Director, Herbalife India, said “The ‘Eat Right India’ movement demonstrates the power of collaboration in promoting healthier communities. At Herbalife, we are committed to advancing nutrition awareness and upholding the highest standards of quality and safety. Our longstanding partnership with FSSAI reflects our shared vision of empowering consumers to make informed choices and adopt healthier lifestyles.”
The Jaipur summit reinforced the need for sustained collaboration among government institutions, healthcare professionals, industry and communities to strengthen food safety, improve nutritional awareness and encourage preventive healthcare.
By bringing together expertise from medicine, nutrition, academia and the food industry, the Eat Right Summit – Jaipur 2026 reaffirmed a shared commitment to making safe food, balanced nutrition and healthier living a priority for every Indian.
